About Vicky

Hello, I am Vicky of ViVi Designs and very excited to tell you about my journey as an artist!
As a single mom of two girls, I worked hard to provide a good life for my small family. Finally going to college and majoring in Art, with a focus on drawing and fiber arts, I worried about future income and switched my major to education. Instead, I invested my time in a successful career in Education and became a grandmother of five boys along the way. After retiring, I returned to my love of art and took classes in art, pottery, weaving, metalsmithing, jewelry, papermaking/bookbinding and worked as a Stained-Glass apprentice for years. Over the years I have created my workshops for pottery, stained glass, jewelry design, sewing, paper/fiber arts, drawing/painting and share my love of art with my children and grandchildren. When my young grandson said "You are too young and fun to be called Grandma, can I call you "ViVi"?...so at the age of 70, ViVi Designs was born.
With a strong emphasis in using scraps, eliminating waste, recycling items, and finding a use for obsolete items, I let my creativity flow and borrow from all the things I have learned along the way. I hope that you will look at some of my creations and find something that fills your heart with a happy song.
